  i was speaking to a family member who is still a jw in very good standing and she told me that last week she was told by an elder of very good repute in my old congregation this:-.

  he has been told that any of the current governing body when they die will not be replaced!!!!!!!!!!.

  i cannot even begin to take this in!.

  I heard the same type of spiel when I was a Bethelite (coming from geebees or high ups....) that they would only replace geebees for unfaithfulness (like Judas) but if one would die, then a replacement would not be necessary. Of course, the 1995 generation change changed that...
